The Designer

Renowned artist and food writer Miriam Sorrell is a well-established abstracts painter. She has held numerous solo exhibitions, both in Malta and the UK, and has a worldwide following, which includes a number of celebrity clients. She has been a regular participant in "Art for Life", Cancer Research UK's annual event at Christie's, London, where her works have hung alongside those of David Bowie, Sam Taylor-Wood and Lord Richard Rogers.

In this jewellery collection, she has managed to ingeniously encapsulate the essence of Klimt in each piece, which in itself is an individualized, handcrafted work of art – it’s a case of “Love Your Art & Wear It".

Miriam believes a woman's body should be decorated in a subtle but sensual way, and her pieces embrace this belief, as once again her genius emerges.

In line with the principles she resolutely stands by, none of the materials she uses contain any animal derivatives - a most important factor for Miriam as a practicing vegan.

Miriam has had a long-standing affinity for Klimt’s work, and Klimt has been something of a mentor to her for many years. Elements of his influence can be seen in several of her works, extending to her own versions of “The Kiss” and “Mother and Child”, tributes to the great master.
